A deserved international consideration. Unical obtains a prominent place in the “Qs World University Rankings: Sustainability 2026” which examines the performance of 2000 universities from 106 nations around the world. The Arcavacata campus is in 620th place and appears among the 57 Italian universities included in the report, placing it in 25th position. The Bruzia academic center is also present in the rankings by subject, with Computer Science making it among the best in the world and Chemistry included, however, for the first time.
Specifically, the overall score awarded is 64.4 points with these assessments in particular: environmental sustainability 30.6; environmental education 55.4; environmental research 66.5; knowledge exchange in the field of sustainability 82.9; health and well-being 88.5 and good governance 89.1.
An encouraging start for the rector Gianluigi Greco, who took office a few weeks ago. Qs analysts take into account investments relating to the energy transition and innovation.
