In May in Calabria the average price of car insurance stood at 558.31 euros, up 9.35% compared to the same period in 2025.
This is what the insurance observatory of Segugio.it finds, explaining how “users who compare offers 23-30 days before the policy starts can save 147.72 euros on average compared to those who wait until the day of expiry”.
Cosenza is the cheapest, Crotone is the most expensive
Looking at the provincial detail, the lowest prices are recorded in Cosenza, with an average of 499.35 euros, while in the province of Crotone the cost for car insurance is the highest in the entire region, with the average reaching 668.68 euros.
Here prices increased by 5.60% compared to the same period in 2025, while the province where the highest annual increase is recorded is that of Cosenza, which recorded a +13.76%.
Vibo Valentia is the only province in decline
In Vibo Valentia, however, the only decrease in the region is observed: -6.92% for an average price of 568.37 euros. In Catanzaro, however, the average expenditure stands at 523.88 euros.
