These are decisive days for the future of Reggina. For days there has been talk of the club’s transfer to Italian-American entrepreneur Matt Rizzetta, head of a group interested in resurrecting the Strait team. There are agreements, but we are waiting for the preliminary stage to be put in black and white and that will be the moment in which a new future of football in Reggio Calabria begins.
Reggina: new property arriving?
And it is precisely the current president of Campobasso who ignites the enthusiasm of the Amaranth fans, eager to turn the page after a three-year period in Serie D which has given very little satisfaction. He does so with a message that appeared in a story on his Instagram profile. The image is eloquent: one of the most beautiful views of Reggio Calabria with the seafront in the foreground and Etna in the background. Even more significant, however, is the writing “See you – we read – in a few weeks. Either on holiday or to carry out a more important and weighty responsibility. You must put your heart into everything you do”.
Rizzetta: “I never take holidays”
A cryptic message which however becomes tremendously clear as you continue reading. “I hope – admitted Rizzetta – it’s a work trip. PS I never go on holidays”. The fact that it was specified that the American entrepreneur does not usually go on holiday almost seems like confirmation of the fact that Reggina is seeing a horizon of change materialize.
