Reggio Calabria, 11 repatriations performed by the immigration office since the beginning of the year

Starting from January 1, the Reggio Calabria immigration office has carried out 11 repatriation activities concerning irregularly present foreign citizens in the area. These are ten men and a woman, aged between 26 and 48, from Georgia (6), Morocco (3), Turkey (1) and Argentina (1). All were recipients of a prefect’s expulsion order, coactively carried out by the Quaestor by decree.

Expulsions and voluntary departures

The subjects were accompanied to the airports of Rome (Ciampino and Fiumicino) and, in one case, in Naples Capodichino, for the repatriation in their respective countries of origin. The ban on re -entry in Italy and in the Schengen area for three years has been imposed on them. To these are added two irregular citizens, a 40 -year -old from Madagascar and a 35 -year -old from Venezuela, who left the country voluntary departure. In addition, a 25 -year -old Pakistani citizen and a 58 -year -old Indian have fulfilled the order to leave the territory within seven days.

Residence permits and asylum requests

The immigration office has also worked on numerous residence permit practices, processing 3092 documents, of which 2892 already delivered. 270 asylum requests were also formalized, sent to the territorial commission for the international protection of Crotone for the appropriate assessments.
