Sorical communicates that, due to the violent storm that is affecting the territory of Reggio Calabria, several plant shutdowns are being recorded in the wells serving the city aqueduct, with consequent critical issues in the water supply in some areas of the city.

We also report a fault in the San Lorenzello well field, which is causing water disruptions in the Sala district of Mosorrofa.

Sorical’s technical staff is already operational in the area to restore the affected systems. The restart and commissioning operations are currently underway and will proceed compatibly with the evolution of weather conditions.

The situation is further aggravated by a failure in the Telecom fiber network, which occurred yesterday afternoon, which compromised the functioning of the remote control system of the entire water network of Reggio Calabria. Telecom technicians are working to identify and repair the fault as quickly as possible.

The combination of adverse weather conditions, plant shutdowns and the unavailability of the remote control system is generating significant operational difficulties in the management and monitoring of the network.

Sorical will continue to constantly monitor the evolution of the situation and will provide timely updates on ongoing interventions and service restoration times.
