Calabria voted by drawing a new map of power but only apparently. Behind the confirmation of the governor Roberto Occhiuto move profound faults that redesign internal balances to the parties, personal weights, territorial hierarchies. In a region that seems to have chosen stability, a structural remittance is consumed. The 2025 vote, far from staying in the tracks of an announced confirmation, has also been a watershed inside the political forces: it rewards solid organizational models and cold investitudes.
The most sensational data bears a name: Gianluca Gallo. The outgoing commissioner for agriculture, with 30,165 personal preferences, is not simply the most voted: he is a party in himself. 3.7% of the entire regional electoral body wrote its name on the card. A company that has no precedents in the history of the entity, and which certifies the transformation of the consent from ideological to relational. Gallo did not capitalize only the force of Forza Italia: he has set in motion a widespread territorial machine, which looks more like an autonomous federation than to a part of the party. It is not surprising, then, that Pasqualina Straface and Elisabetta Santoianni also elected in Cosenza Fi, while Sergio Ferrari, Marco Polimeni, Mimmo Giannetta and Salvatore Cirillo (the latter with 19,225 personal votes) entered the South and South. Forza Italia also grows in absolute terms: +4,600 votes compared to 2021, and an unchanged dowry of seven councilors. The moderate axis holds, and does it on solid legs.
