Returning to the starting line-up after two games, Christian Roseti was present, clocking in and giving Messina a crucial victory in their bid for salvation against Acireale. A very heavy goal, the fourth of the season for the 2006 born native of Terranova di Sibari: «I hadn’t played in Gela, at home with Sancataldese only a segment, mister Parisi gave me the opportunity to stay on the pitch and I tried to do the best for the team».
For Roseti, who arrived in the summer from Cosenza, the first experience among the “grown-ups” and constant growth. The transition to 3-4-3 seemed to have “closed” him, the return to the two-striker formation (4-3-1-2 in the last round) relaunched him. But how different is it to play with Tourè next to you, as in the entire first round, or with Tedesco as in the recent round? «Tedesco helps me to do the counters, there is a double reference with respect to the banks. But he also helps me in training, with advice and movements. Tourè prefers running in depth, so spaces must be created.”

Among the positive signals coming from the match against Acireale, the two header goals and from free kicks. A weapon that Messina has in its characteristics, even in the defenders, and has finally been exploited: «We worked during the week on corner kicks and free kick schemes, I must say that they worked and bore fruit on the pitch».
A long run to get your head out of the “red zone”. Roseti was there practically from the beginning and now that salvation seems possible thanks to the long climb, what is the state of mind? «We have done a lot in recent months, now we have more peace of mind at a corporate level but we still have to fight on the field to recover. The road is still long, we must remain united towards the goal.”
Paternò’s direct clash is on the horizon, for the first time in the season Messina faces a team that is lower in the standings and could even cut them off from direct safety: «Cutting them out is still early, but these two matches, with Paternò and Enna, for us are direct clashes that we cannot afford to fail».
