The condition of the three-year-old child who was struck by a gate in the Cosentino area is stationary but very serious. The little boy is hospitalized in the intensive care unit of the hospital of Cosenza and underwent emergency surgery last night. The tragic accident occurred yesterday afternoon inside a bathing establishment of Guardia Piemontese on the Tyrrhenian Sea of Cosenza. The Paola Prosecutor’s Office has started an investigation. According to what has been reconstructed – for reasons currently being investigated – the iron gate outside the beach collapsed, overwhelming the little boy. Immediate help was provided. The child was transferred by helicopter to the Annunziata in Cosenza. He underwent emergency surgery during the night, but his condition is very serious. The Carabinieri of the Paola Company have started all the necessary investigations.
