The search is underway for a missing person in the Germano area in the municipality of San Giovanni in Fiore – Sila National Park.
The man of 62 years old, his initials BA, resident in the Municipality of Rossano he left his home this morning to search for mushrooms with a friend. The complaint from the latter, due to the failure to return to the point where the missing person’s car had been parked, triggered the searches.
The Alpine and Speleological Rescue – CNSAS Calabria – was activated, in the late afternoon, by the Carabinieri of the Longobucco station (CS).
The technicians of the Sila Camigliatello Alpine Station of the CNSAS Calabria are engaged in the research.
Present on site were the technicians of the Alpine Rescue of the Guardia di Finanza (SAGF), the Carabinieri of Longobucco and the Fire Brigade.
