The carabinieri of the Compagnia di Santo Stefano di Camastra, together with the military of the Inspectorate of the Labor of Messina and the staff of the Maritime District Office of Sant’Agata di Militello, have seized a receptive structure of the area, at the end of a series of controls aimed at safety at work, environmental protection and the fight against black work.
The checks revealed numerous irregularities, including the abusive occupation of over 500 square meters of state -owned soil, the failure to evaluate the company risks, the omitted staff training and the absence of compulsory medical visits for employees. In addition, two “black” workers were discovered.
Further violations were ascertained by the maritime staff, who found the absence of the rescue service and the safety equipment provided for by the seaside order, as well as an unauthorized spill of domestic waste deriving from a private swimming pool attached to the structure. To stop the irregular exhaust, the administrative seizure of the water supply line was ordered.
The owner, reported in a state of freedom to the judicial authority, were contested for more than 90,000 euros. The Municipality, informed of the violations, has ordered the temporary suspension of the activity.
Despite the measures, the structure would have continued to accommodate customers, a circumstance that led to a new complaint for non -compliance with the measures of the Authority (art. 650 of the Criminal Code).
In light of the repeated violations, at the request of the Public Prosecutor of Patti, the investigating judge of the Court of Patti has finally issued a preventive seizure measure of the entire property.
