Cooperativa Faro 85, Hon. Antonio De Luca (M5S): “The signing of the decree by the Region was good, even if an allocation of 5 million instead of 4 was envisaged for the Messina ASP”
“Now we will have to proceed with the signing of the agreements. Commissioner Cuccì will have to give concrete answers to the patients of Don Orione and to the workers of the Cooperative”, declares Antonio De Luca
Messina, 30 April – “Finally, after months of continuous postponements and waiting, the accreditation decree has arrived which allocates the sums to the Hospitals which will now have to proceed with the signing of the agreements. The result is partially satisfactory, even if for the Messina ASP we expected the allocation of at least 5 million euros and not 4, as established, considering the needs identified and the consequent much more onerous requests produced by the previous management which amounted to approximately 21 million euros.
It is extremely clear, in fact, that, for example, the transaction signed by the previous general manager with the 'Sorrisi' Cooperative will erode more than half of the allocated funds.
Now it will be up to Commissioner Cuccì to untangle himself between available resources, commitments, sentences and needs, to give a concrete response to the 40 patients of Don Orione, their families and the workers of the Faro 85 Cooperative. The next step, therefore, will be the signing of the agreements with the ASP of Messina and, I hope, that the one with the Faro 85 will be carried out quickly, to finally close an affair that has left too many people, patients, families and workers in uncertainty for several months, waiting for the 'Department made ends meet', comments the regional deputy Antonio De Luca, M5S group leader at the Sicilian Regional Assembly, who in recent months has personally dealt with this delicate situation.
