Discovered a scam against an elderly lady of Scaletta Zanclea, victim of a “false carabiniere” who, contacting her by phone, had managed to convince her to be delivered money and precious in her possession.
To persuade it, a false road accident was staged in which the son would have been involved, and a fake bail was requested to avoid the arrest of the relative. Frightened and worried, the woman delivered 4,000 euros and various precious in the hands of an individual who, shortly after the phone call, showed up in front of the door of his house.
The carabinieri of the Messina Sud Compagnia, jointly with the State Police of Messina, following the woman’s complaint to the women’s complaint, will fail.
The investigations, developed in immediacy by the local carabinieri, made it possible to trace the car on which the alleged scammer was traveled in the company of a woman, both of Campania origin, stopped and identified by the steering wheels of the State Police.
Once identified, the operators of the State Police and the military of the weapon searched the chamber of a B&B of the capital in which the two were housed, claiming all the stolen goods that was immediately returned to the elderly woman.
On charges of “aggravated fraud”, the alleged scammer, a 39 -year -old, already known to the police, was arrested is restricted to house arrest available to the judicial authority. The woman, a 40 -year -old, also known to the police, was instead reported as an alleged accomplice.
