Try to recover over 11 million euros of arrears of taxes entrusted to the Revenue-Collection Agency between 2010 and 2023. This is the objective of the Municipality of Taormina, which unanimously decided in the municipal council to join the Scrapping quinquies, giving taxpayers the possibility of paying off debts for failure to pay taxes and administrative sanctions by paying only the sums due as capital and reimbursement of expenses, without penalties, interest and late fees. A total of residual assets equal to 11,763,445 euros, which until 14 October 2024 were transferred to the management of the extraordinary liquidation body and then returned to the competence of the Municipality.
