Second day of the Kitesurf World Championships in Gizzeria: Julio Houze confirms first place in the youth category, the Turkish Ejder Ginyol wins the podium for the master category

Competition and excitement reach their peak today, on the occasion of the second day of the Kitesurf World Championships in Gizzeriawhere the athletes challenged each other in the second exciting day of regattas in the suggestive setting of Hang Loose Beach. The crystalline waters of Gizzeria, the wind and the determination of the athletes blend together in a spectacular mix of sporting performance and passion for kitesurfing.
In the A’s Youth Foil category, the young talents are proving to be up to the expectations, showing their skills and determination to excel in this high-level competition. For the second consecutive day it is first was Julio Houze from Salento, followed by Sasha Lethuillier, third Jakub Balewicz.
In the KiteFoil Open Masters category, the most experienced athletes demonstrated their mastery and endurance in an exciting and adrenaline-filled day of competition. The kitesurfing veterans showed all their experience and passion as they fought for the podium in an exciting comparison, from which Ejder Ginyol was the winner, Jean Romain Morel came in second and James Johnsen came in third.
“We have been organizing world competitions since 2011 and we are very happy to host these three World Championships here at Hang Loose Beach again this year” says Luca Valentini – president of the Circolo Velico Hang Loose and organizer of the event.
From July 3, the show continues with the Formula Kite Youth World Championships, the discipline that will make its debut in Paris at the next Olympic Games. Next week, the show put on by the main sponsor Porsche will also take place with its wonderful cars, all to be tested, and above all with the performances of the athletes sponsored by the brand. The weekend of July 6 and 7, to enrich the sports calendar, will be played the stage of the Italian Beach Volleyball tournament Beach Series 1.
The event is promoted by World Sailing (International Sailing Federation), IKA (International Kiteboarding Association), FIV (Italian Sailing Federation), CKWI (Kiteboarding Class and Wingsport Italia), with the organization of the Circolo Velico Hang Loose and the collaboration of Calabria Straordinaria.
