«The CISL is mobilizing throughout Italy to improve the maneuver and also give perspective to a participatory development policy. Compared to the CGIL’s approach, we are separated, on the merits, by a chiaroscuro evaluation, and a different way of understanding the nature of trade union representation: not movement-based, but contractualist, oriented towards comparison, as long as there is room for negotiation”. Thus the national secretary of the CISL Daniela Fumarola in an interview with La Repubblica, underlining that they have «already asked all the parliamentary groups to address the main issues of the budget bill together. The first meetings will be next week.”
Compared to the initial positive judgement, «many elements were made known only in the stamped text. The signs of attention to our requests are different – he states -, from the reduction of the second rate of Irpef, to the tax relief on productivity agreements. But we ask for reference to the comparatively more representative contracts to trigger tax exemptions on renewals, together with greater retroactivity of the measure; more resources for schools and universities and structural funds for non-self-sufficiency and the fight against poverty. On the topic of pensions, at least the freezing of the automatic adjustment and a strong signal on the women’s option. Finally – he adds -, and for us it is of the utmost importance, the Fund for the law on participation must be refinanced”. The secretary states that they will wait for «the discussion with the parliamentary groups. We are convinced – he says – that the right solutions can be found and we will continue with the pressure, without giving up on mobilising”.
