Seized by the traffic police in Stalettì 55 kilos of dairy products without traceability

As part of the activities of the Catanzaro traffic police section aimed at controlling the sector of transporting food substances, about 55 kg of seasoned and semi -seasoned dairy products were seized last Saturday, but without sale, but without health and commercial labeling for the purposes of traceability as required by the current state and European legislation.
The dairy products were inside a truck that was stopped for a check, on the 106 state road in Copanello of the Municipality of Stalettì.
During the investigations, the traffic police patrol found, together with the staff of the Food Hygiene and Nutrition Service of the ASP of Catanzaro – District of Soverato, in the meantime intervened at the request of the policemen, the administrative irregularities and the lack of the expected and necessary labeling and documentation proving the origin of the transported dairy products. Once the violation of the traceability obligations was ascertained, the transported goods were seized and subjected to health restrictions, as well as the related administrative sanctions.
