Showing a big heart and showing off a tough team performance that wants to achieve the goal of salvation at all costs, Piroxy Cosenza obtains the first away victory of this championship on the Sandro Abate parquet. Felipinho’s goal also allows the Wolves to follow up on their home success against Sporting Sala Consilina and to project themselves with confidence into the midweek match on Tuesday, when Fortitudo Pomezia arrives at the PalaCosentia.

THE MATCH CHRONICLE

The Wolves started at full speed and Cabeça forced Parisi to pull off a great save to avoid capitulation. The home team’s first shot on target came in the 4th minute with Gui challenging Lo Conte directly from a free kick. Same protagonists a little later with the rossoblù pipelet flying to deflect into the corner with a prodigious intervention. Sandro Abate trembles on the woodwork hit by Jefferson with a left foot from an almost impossible position. The personal duel between Gui and Lo Conte continues with the latter still emerging as the winner. White goals at half-time.

The second half opens with a magic from Cabeça who clear-cuts an opponent and forces Parisi to make a save with his foot. Double chance for Felipinho and Gabriel, on both occasions the home goalkeeper was attentive. In the 5th minute Lo Conte miraculously touches it just enough to deflect Gui’s shot onto the post. The result is broken in the 6th minute: Trentin protects the ball and unloads for the onrushing Felipinho who scores with precision into the bottom corner. The Irpinia players push for the equalizer: Kenji is about to succeed but Lo Conte, with yet another great reflex, says no. Sandro Abate’s final assault was useless, the Wolves resisted and took home 3 points of fundamental importance.
