The president of the Sicilian Region, Renato Schifani, has appointed three new councilors, thus completing the government team of Palazzo d’Orléans. Nuccia Albano (Dc), forensic doctor, expert and consultant for the Courts and Prosecutor’s Offices of Sicily, returns to the council and returns to occupy the position in the Department of Family, Social Policies and Labor. Enter Elisa Ingala (Mpa), accountant, former municipal councilor in Caltanissetta and judicial administrator of companies subject to preventive seizure, who will lead the department of public function and local autonomy, and Marcello Caruso (Fi), former municipal and provincial councilor in Palermo, president of the municipal Amia and sole director of Sas, new councilor for Health.
With these appointments, the two departments that had remained ad interim in the hands of Schifani himself since 10 November are covered, while Caruso takes over from Daniela Faraoni. “the full council is restored – says President Schifani – a condition for continuing with even greater effectiveness, in this last part of the legislature, the administrative action and fully implementing the commitments undertaken with the Sicilians”. The governor thanked Daniela Faraoni “for the work carried out this year with commitment and competence at the helm of the Department of Health”. The new councilors will be sworn in by the Ars in the next available session. No step backwards for the councilors Elvira Almata and Luca Sammartino. The representatives of Fratelli d’Italia and Lega, at present, remain in the Schifani Council.
