The Regional Council has approved the proposal to modify and integrate the profile matrix and the Dictionary of skills which will allow the introduction of new professional figures and the launch of the related public competitions. Among the new features, the inclusion of the profile of labor inspector stands out, who will carry out supervisory activities within the competences of the provincial inspectorates, verifying the regularity of employment relationships, compliance with the legislation protecting workers’ conditions and the correct application of contracts and social security obligations. «With this measure we give a clear signal: safety in the workplace is an absolute priority – states the regional councilor for the Public Function, Andrea Messina – the introduction of the profile of labor inspector and the new competitions that will derive from it represents a concrete tool to strengthen controls, combat deaths at work and guarantee compliance with legality in companies. At the same time, we update our administration to the challenges of sustainability, digitalization and the valorization of cultural heritage.” In addition to the profile of labor inspector, the new structure provides for the introduction of the archaeologist technical officer for the cultural heritage sector and, as part of the national “Capacity for Cohesion” 2021-2027 programme, of further specialist figures: ecological-environmental, economic-statistical, legal-administrative, IT-digital and technical. The adaptation of the Profile Matrix and the Dictionary of Skills, approved with the proposal to modify resolution no. 481 of 29 October 2020, is part of the Integrated Activity and Organization Plan (Piao) 2025-2027 and will allow the Region’s professional system to be updated, currently lacking some profiles now considered indispensable.
