The local elections in Sicily will take place on 8 and 9 June, on the same days as voting for the renewal of the European Parliament. In everything There are 37 Municipalities that will renew their elective bodies, 32 due to the natural expiration of the electoral mandate and 5 currently administered by extraordinary commissioners. As regards the electoral system, 29 will vote with the majority system and 8 with the proportional system. The voters called to the polls for the Municipal elections are 484,218 in total.
The only provincial capital affected by this election round is Caltanissetta; there are among the largest municipalities Gela, in the Nisseno area, Mazara del Vallo, in the Trapani areaand, for the province of Palermo, Bagheria and Monreale. Voting operations will take place on Saturday 8th, from 2pm to 10pm, and on Sunday 9th, from 7am to 11pm. Any run-off round for the local elections will be held, as provided for by Legislative Decree 7/2024, in on Sunday 23 June from 7am to 11pm and on Monday 24 June from 7am to 3pm.

In the province of Agrigento there will be voting in six municipalities, all under 15 thousand inhabitants: Alessandria della Rocca, Caltabellotta, Campobello di Licata (commissariat), Naro, Racalmuto and Santa Elisabetta.
In Nisseno we will vote with the proportional system as well as with Caltanissetta also in Gela. With the majority system, however, a Mazarin.
In the province of Catania the only one of the four municipalities involved that will go to the polls with the proportional system is Aci Castello. We will also vote on Motta Sant'Anastasia, Ragalna and Zafferana Etnea.
The ten Municipalities of the Messina area involved in the electoral round are all under 15 thousand inhabitants Brolo, Condrò, Falcone (commissioner), Forza D'Agrò, Leni, Longi, Mandanici, Oliveri, Rometta and Spadafora.
In the province of Palermo we will vote for the renewal of nine administrations: with the proportional a Bagheria and Monreale, while with the majority a Bompietro, Borgetto, Corleone, Palazzo Adriano, Roccamena, Cinisi and San Mauro Castelverde. The last two are currently currently administered by extraordinary commissioners.
In the Syracuse area we will only vote for Pachinocurrently a police station, with a proportional system.
In the province of Trapani the municipalities above 15 thousand inhabitants will be involved Castelvetrano and Mazara del Vallo. We will vote with the majority a Salaparuta and Salemi.
