It was just a performance and it didn’t count for anything for the rankings, but Jannik Sinner takes his revenge and beats Carlos Alcaraz on the hard court in Riyadh, in the last act of the “Six Kings Slam”. For the first time facing each other since the Flushing Meadows final which gave the Spaniard a Slam and first place in the ranking, the two rivals put on a show and this time the winner – as already happened in the last edition – was the blue: 6-2 6-4.
For Sinner a rich check for six million dollars and a nice push towards a season finale in which he will try to take back the throne. It won’t be easy, given that he should win all the tournaments he takes part in and at the same time hope for some missteps from Alcaraz. In the meantime, the Italian will restart from Vienna while the Murcian should take a week’s rest and then return to the Masters 1000 in Paris-Bercy.
