It was only thanks to a stroke of luck if a serious accident occurred on the night between 9 and 10 May on the Crotone promenade did not cause more serious consequences. The episode occurred in Viale Gramsci, near a very popular place in the Crotone nightlife.
For reasons still in the assessment phase, a Fiat Grande Punto, conducted by a 24 -year -old young man residing in Crotone (Pa The initials), hit a Fiat 500 parked on the right side of the roadway. After the impact, the car overturned, finishing its race between the pedestrian area and a restaurant.
Moments of panic among those present, who managed to save themselves for a whisker, avoiding the car out of control. The affected Fiat 500 was blocked by one of the large vases with plants positioned outside the room, stopping a few meters from a gazebo.
Luck wanted that, thanks also bad weather, at that moment – shortly after midnight – there were few people around.
A patrol of the flying team intervened at the accident site for the necessary reliefs. The driver was transported to hospital for investigations. The firefighters of the provincial command then removed the incidental vehicle.
