“With the approval of the final rankings and the possibility of financing all 127 participants admitted to the public notice for the granting of contributions for sporting events for the year 2025, the Calabria Region confirms its desire to concretely support the world of sport and the associations operating in the area. This result is the result of a constant commitment to guarantee equal opportunities and enhance the positive energy that sport can generate, especially among young people”.
This is what the regional councilor for Education, Sport and Youth Policies, Eulalia Micheli, declared in a note regarding the publication of the definitive rankings of the public notice for the granting of contributions for sporting events for the year 2025, financed under the Complementary Operational Program (POC) 2014-2020 – Action 6.8.3 and LR no. 28/2010.
The definitive rankings, divided by type of intervention, include the lists of applications admitted and eligible for funding, for a total of 1,763,861.55 euros, for the three types of events envisaged in the notice, as well as the list of applications that are inadmissible or not admitted to evaluation, with an indication of the related reasons.
“The extension of the deadlines for carrying out the financed activities to 31 March 2026, originally set for 31 December 2025 – adds councilor Micheli – will allow the planned initiatives to be better implemented, encouraging wider participation and greater social impact. Sport, in fact, is not just competition, but also inclusion, education and collective growth: values that the Region intends to promote with conviction and continuity. Support for sporting events – concludes the councilor – represents a strategic investment for social cohesion and for the diffusion of positive values, contributing to the strengthening of regional identity”.
