Planning time for the AS Cosenza and its branch team, Bruzia, in view of the new Serie C championship, which kicks off on 7 October. Once a positive season closed with a brilliant third place, only three points from the promotion, the rossoblù look to the future with confidence, but without losing sight of humility.
A bittersweet budget and a certainty: you can aim high
The analysis of last year leaves a small regret: six points lost in the first leg and at least three in the return weigh on the final classification. It would have been enough, to say it all, and today we would talk about Serie B. But the club looks forward, aware of having the credentials to try again.
Two grafts and one departure in the summer market
On the market front, the rossoblù management placed two important shots: Luigi Barone, an expert player coming from the Hipqr Roma, with numerous seasons in Serie B behind; Alessandro Primo Otto, defender of temperament, coming from the Act Reggio Calabria.
The only exit that of Francesco Riccobene, who after two seasons in rossoblù moved to the Rechion (RC), in Serie D. An additional incoming negotiation remains, still covered by Massimo Restrobus.
Bigs confirmed, despite the requests
Despite numerous offers from clubs of higher categories and some foreign teams, the main block has been confirmed in bulk: Andrea Capelli, Amerigo Scatamacchia, Ernesto and Antonio Gentile (the latter also coach), Vittorio Cribari and Daniele Calcagno will remain available to the club.
Bruzia grows: complete pink and ready for the second consecutive C
The Bruzia branch team, in its second season in Serie C, presents itself with an already formed and competitive squad. Under the guidance of Luigi Grillo, among others Andrea Pellegrino, Edoardo Erminione, Pasquale Nunzet, Domenico Vinaccia and above all Fabio Abate, in clear growth are reported among others: clear growth: he could prove to be the extra man of Bruzia.
Talent in orbit Cruc Cosenza and blue calls
Other promising young people of the nursery, such as Antonio Berardi, Tommaso Tricoli and Leonardo Colella, will strengthen the Cruc Cosenza, the second satellite team that plays in Serie D, led by Carlo and Alessandro Siciliano. Just Alessandro Siciliano, 13 years old, recently received the call in the Under 16 national team for the next European Championships in September.
Cosenza in the Italian top ten
In the meantime, the Assenza Assenza proudly enters the National Top Ten, placing ninth in Ranking Italy, in front of Serie A clubs and B. In addition, it is the team with the largest number of players active nationally, further demonstration of the excellent work done by the rossoblù board.
Now the definition of the economic support is awaited, necessary to better face a season that promises to be full of commitments, including international commitments. And the conditions for dreaming big, this time, they really are all there.
