Great success for the Taormina Arte Festival that continues among the open spaces and ancient plants of the Trevelyan Park with big names that will animate four consecutive evenings, from today to Wednesday. International stars will perform at the Villa Comunale that will host in sequence the pianist Michele Di Toro, the homage to Renato Carosone with Enzo Decaro and the Ànema Quartet, the Jazz Trio of Jany McPherson and Ornella Muti with the Americas Trio. An opportunity for the artists and the public to immerse themselves in symbiosis in the greenery of the rare botanical heritage that the Villa is rich in.
The Taormina Arte Sicilia Festival continues with performances by well-known artists who embody the varied kaleidoscope of live entertainment and the quality of the event, supported and financed by the Sicilian Region – Department of Tourism, Sports and Entertainment, led by Elvira Amata, and organized by the Taormina Arte Sicilia Foundation, governed by the extraordinary commissioner Sergio Bonomo. The artistic direction of the Foundation is entrusted to Gianna Fratta, who has laid out a high-level program, favoring a multidisciplinary and multi-genre approach. An international audience has already applauded in recent days stars of the caliber of Dee Dee Bridgewater and Vinicio Capossela, Kataklò, I Filarmonici Italiani.
Tonight the recital «Unlimited», truly without limits, by Michele Di Toro, a pianist with extraordinary technical skills, but above all able to range from Chopin to Chick Corea, from Mozart to Morricone, but with the last 15 minutes of the program at the request of the public: a sort of “on demand” finale. Tomorrow it will be the turn of «Renatissimo», the tribute that the Quartetto Ánema has put together with the extraordinary participation of Enzo Decaro, in the dual role of narrator and singer, to celebrate the great Renato Carosone. Tuesday the Jazz Trio composed of the leader Jany McPherson (voice and piano), one of the most important representatives of female jazz pianism in recent years, Luca Bulgarelli (double bass) and Amedeo Ariano (drums). Grand finale on Wednesday: «Passioni ribelli» with Ornella Muti and Americas Trio, composed of Giovanna D’Amato (cello), Oscar Bellomo and Gianvito Pulzone (guitars), between poetry and music, dedicated to the greatest Latin American writers.
