No longer one but three, not drawn by the city council but chosen by the mayor. In Taormina the rules are changing for identifying the auditors of the municipal services company which, for seven months, has been operating without an audit body.
The governance of the Municipality, with the approval also received from the hall of Palazzo dei Giurati, has in fact decided to change the statute and modify the article which provided for a single auditor chosen by draw and appointed by the Council, now providing for a board made up of three members appointed by the mayor after a public selection. A backtracking came after leaving the procedure started on March 3 for the appointment of the new sole auditor on standby (the previous assignment expired at the end of March with the 45-day extension), given that the numerous applications submitted by the April 10 deadline were not taken into consideration.
