“What a satisfaction to have driven the Ferrari. I received a lot of love from the fans, I was focused on the session and I didn’t have time to do everything. Now I’m enjoying it. I did what I was told to do, it was a very positive session. It’s not an easy track due to altitude and load level. There are some points where we can improve but as a basis we are very close. Today’s tests will be very useful for me for the work on the simulator, I learned a lot as driver to understand how the track changes. Very useful elements for 2026, we have worked a lot with this in mind. It was nice to find myself in the same garage with Charles, he gave me a lot of advice. Our relationship goes beyond that of two colleagues. I’m really happy, I hope to be able to do more in the future.” Thus Antonio Fuoco, the Calabrian driver from Cariati who yesterday drove Hamilton’s Ferrari in the first free practice session. The Calabrian finished in 20th place, but his was above all a test to fine-tune the car.

“I was really happy to have Antonio Fuoco by my side. We grew up together in the Scuderia Ferrari Driver Academy and sharing the garage with him was very special. We have already been teammates in the youth categories and we have good memories together, both on and off the track. It was very useful to have him in the car in FP1 to carry out various tests and collect data, considering the precious work he carries out all year in the simulator. I hope he had fun.” Thus Charles Leclerc, at the end of the first day on the track of the Mexican Grand Prix, the twentieth round of the World Championship. “We managed to put together some interesting laps and overall I had good sensations from the car. Our rivals, however, are strong, so at the moment it doesn’t seem realistic to be able to stay in front of them. We will build on the work done and try to make some improvements to reduce the gap in view of qualifying”, added the Monegasque.

“I think Antonio Fuoco did an excellent job this morning. We brought home valuable insights from his work on the track, which I appreciated a lot: it was nice to see him behind the wheel during FP1. The second session was a little more demanding on the single lap, because the pace didn’t seem particularly strong, while in the race configuration we were more consistent. There is still potential to be exploited and we will do our best to arrive in a more solid position in view of FP3 and qualifying.” Thus Lewis Hamilton, at the end of the first day on the track of the Mexican Grand Prix, the twentieth round of the Formula 1 World Championship.
