Ferrari won the 2024 24 Hours of LeMans, repeating last year’s triumph. The Italian’s number 50 Antonio Fuoco, from Calabria from Cariati, from the Spaniard Miguel Molina and from the Dane Nicklas Nielsen preceded the Toyota N.7 and the other Ferrari, the N.51, winner last year on the legendary Manceau track. For the Prancing Horse, this is the 11th overall victory in the classic French endurance marathon, the second in a row after the one obtained on 11 June 2023 with the 499P number 51: the previous ones date back to 1949, 1954, 1958, and to the years between 1960 and 1965. The Maranello company’s roll of honor at Le Mans also includes 29 class victories: the overall victories therefore reach 40. The race, valid as the fourth round of the FIA WEC 2024, saw the 499P number 83 of the AF Corse team – a protagonist for a long time, also occupying the lead of the race – retired after 248 laps.
Compliments from Leclerc
«Delighted for you, you’re great. You deserve it all”: thus Charles Leclerc, Ferrari F1 driver, congratulates Antonio Fuoco via Instagram, one of the three drivers of Red No. 50 which won the 24 hours of LeMans, giving the Maranello company its second consecutive success after the one in 2023. “Your dad will be very happy from up there, I love you”, concludes the Monegasque, posting a photo of himself alongside Fuoco.
