The evening lively on April 21 in Rossano, where two 37 -year -old men were arrested by the Carabinieri of Corigliano Rossano.
The episode took place around 20 in via Piave, when a person in an evident state of psychophysical alteration caused a road accident, crashing into a parked car. Upon arrival of the military, the situation is quickly degenerated: the man, in the grip of agitation, began to hit other parked cars and threaten the carabinieri, up to physically attacking them.
Despite the attempts to calm the man, the use of the Taser was necessary to contain it safelyafter requesting the support of medical staff. During the operation, a second man between the crowd intervened to hinder the arrest, also attacking the military.
Thanks to the intervention of other patrols, the situation has been reported under control. The two men were arrested on charges of violence and threat to public officials and transferred to the Castrovillari prison. The accusation is made even more serious by the recent regulatory changes introduced with the law decree of 12 April 2025 regarding public safety and protection of law enforcement agencies.
