Cessaniti celebrated the one hundred years of grandmother Maria Rosa Adelardi. Born in cessaniti the July 18, 1925since then he has always lived in the country where he was born; A strong link has always linked it to this country and this land. He lived a long and full life and also met many difficulties. He was witness to one of the most dramatic events in history, the Second World War, he met hunger, and grew up without the presence of his father, emigrated towards the end of the 1920s in Argentina and never returned, remaining in cessis with his mother and two sisters, Angela and Rosaria. However, life was generous with her because she gave him an excellent life partner, who died a few years ago, two children, Pasquale and Mario and four grandchildren.
The day took place, first with the meeting in the late afternoon with the boys of the parish of Cessaniti in celebration with “Summer guys” who paid homage to him with songs and dances together with the animators. To follow, the mass was celebrated in his honor Don Francesco Pontoriero and animated by the parish choir directed by the teacher Francesca Lo Preiato. At the end of the mass, in front of the sacred of the church, before cutting the cake, several awards were delivered to him, including that of the mayor Enrico Sorrentino and the municipal administration who in his memory gave her a parchment, the Polisportiva di Cassaniti Calciothat with its president Francesco Pugliese He offered the cake and I remember a plaque. In addition, many flowers and plants were given to him as well as the reading of a poem dedicated to her for the occasion written by one of his fellow villagers, Mr. Antonella Valeriano. Finally, his son Pasquale intervened to thank those who made themselves available with their help and time to organize the celebrations and prepare the floral decorations and everything that served for the anniversary. The party ended with a buffet also including many desserts offered by the local community and the cutting of the cake, all in the presence of over 300 people. At the end, as per the tradition of the country, the fireworks could not be missing.
