On the proposal of the councilor for Education, Sport and Youth Policies, Eulalia Micheli, the regional plan of interventions for the right to study for the year 2026, referring to the 2026-2027 school year, was approved.
The Plan aims to guarantee the effectiveness of the right to education and substantial equality in access to essential school services: canteen, transport, specialist assistance.

“My summer” project: Voucher for minors with disabilities
Finally, the Council, on the recommendation of the Welfare Councilor, Pasqualina Straface, approved the intervention project sheet called “My Summer” with which the regional Administration intends to finance an economic contribution in favor of disabled people residing in Calabria through the National Social Policies Fund. The management and provision of the measure will be entrusted to the social territorial areas, through vouchers intended for the attendance of summer services for the year 2026.
The contribution is aimed at covering, in whole or in part, the expenses incurred by families for the participation of minor children, or children of school age between 6 and 19, in activities organized during the summer period by summer day centres, local socio-educational services and centers or professionals who carry out educational, recreational and inclusion functions.
The vouchers will be usable for the period between 15 July and 30 September 2026, with the possibility of extension until 31 December 2026, and are aimed at supporting and strengthening local socio-educational services, summer centers and centers with emotional and recreational functions that carry out activities for minors, with particular attention to minors with disabilities.
The resolution also establishes that participation in the centers and aggregation activities financed by the measure integrates, without replacing them, the educational, rehabilitative and socio-health interventions already foreseen in the individualized projects prepared by the competent services, thus contributing to strengthening the paths of inclusion and support for families.
