Those that will arrive in the coming days and weeks are important turning points for the life of the administration. One will be the city council on the economic plan of the waste tender, which will test the numbers in the chamber, the other, shortly, will be tomorrow’s, when the mayor Nicola Fiorita will illustrate the work carried out in the first two and a half years of his mandate at the helm of the city. A two-year period in which the changes within the majority and the Council certainly had greater visibility than the work that will have been carried out. For this reason, the mayor will probably want to make some firm points to explain to the citizens the reasons why his administration should continue along the path. It is no coincidence that in the note with which he commented on the Action group’s exit from the majority after just four months of collaboration he was keen to specify that «the results we are obtaining and those we will obtain already in the next few weeks will guarantee us a “majority of responsibility and doing” much more solid than palace maneuvers”.
That majority of responsibility which, however, in the opinion of the Forza Italia group should not arise: hence the “anathema” launched towards those municipal councilors elected with centre-right lists, but who have now moved to the mixed and “surroundings” group, which were to support the administration: for them, the blue formation argued, the doors of the center-right would be closed indefinitely. This sortie, however, could create discontent.
