The last farewell to Mariarosa Cavò – the unfortunate 49-year-old woman who lost her life on Tuesday in the road accident that occurred along Via Pirandello, while she was headed towards the bar-pastry shop she owned, in Giammoro – will be given today in Messina, at 3.30 pm, in the Santissima Annunziata – San Luigi church. Maria Rosa was originally from Messina, but had been living in Pace del Mela with her partner for about six years. After a long work experience behind him, two years ago he realized his dream of opening his own business. “La casa del dolce”, a place run with a lot of passion.
The 49-year-old leaves behind her partner, her father and her brother Enzo, who lost his young son in a car accident in Messina four months ago, and her other brother Giacomo in England. Dismay also on the part of the municipal administration. «Mariarosa Cavò was a very good person. He collaborated on the initiatives proposed by our municipal administration – recalls the mayor Mario La Malfa – He had “adopted a flowerbed” in Giammoro and took care of it, showing dedication and interest also towards what surrounded it”.
A deep and shared condolence for a generous person, always attentive to customer requests. The news of his tragic death brought pain not only to Pace del Mela, but also to the entire Tyrrhenian area. In fact, many knew her and frequented her bar. Meanwhile, the Carabinieri of the Milazzo Company confiscated the iron road barrier, where the car crashed and then ended up in the valley below. After the accident, the family members, assisted by the lawyer Sebastiano Campanella, presented a complaint to the local Carabinieri station to verify any profiles of responsibility. The exact dynamics of the accident, which occurred in Pace del Mela along via Pirandello, will be clarified.
