He was driving in the center of Reggio, in a restricted traffic area, with a car registered to a deceased person, without insurance for five years and without an inspection for three, but when the local police officers stopped him for checks he reacted with shouts and pushes, forcing the patrol to ask for reinforcements.
It happened in recent days in Piazza Camagna, an area that has been monitored with particular attention for some time. The protagonist of the story was a 66-year-old man, who after trying to prevent the officers from completing the investigations also publicly insulted them in front of numerous passers-by.
The man, brought back to calm thanks to the intervention of another patrol, was taken to the headquarters in Viale Aldo Moro, where the complaint for violence and insult to a public official was made. He was also charged with heavy fines for driving a vehicle without insurance, not inspected and in restricted traffic zones without permission. The car was seized.
The investigation is in the preliminary phase and, as required by law, the principle of presumption of innocence applies to the man until a possible final sentence.
