The first experimental Basic Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation course was held at the Catanzaro Fire Brigade Headquarters, in which 11 lay operators participated, who obtained the qualification to use the defibrillator in extra-hospital settings issued by the Regional Fire Brigade Directorate del Fuoco Calabria, as an organization certified by the Calabria Region.
The operators have acquired skills relating to Basic Life Support and Defibrillation maneuvers for the possible intervention for cardiocirculatory arrest of adults, children and infants, as well as unblocking the airways by a foreign body.
