The golden season on the Tyrrhenian coast of Cosenza

The summer holiday break arrived right after mid-August. With the rain that on the one hand on the last day of the weekend of the most important week – that of Ferragosto – stopped the influx to the Tyrrhenian coast of Cosenza, on the other hand almost gave a hand to Canadair and Firefighters busy putting out large fires. The flames in particular on the hills from Amantea to Paola during the night – where among other things they licked the oxygen tanks of the San Francesco Hospital during the weekend just gone by – have not given any respite.
It was a summer, however, the one that is ending, a season certainly more profitable than the one we left behind last year. If the presences settle at good levels, the clean sea has allowed the return – even if in some cases it was a question of hit-and-run relaxation – of tourists and vacationers. The most popular municipalities in the lower and middle coast were Amantea, San Lucido and Diamante. In the Upper Tyrrhenian Sea the queens almost equally are Praia a Mare, San Nicola, Scalea and Santa Maria del Cedro. Blue flag locations and enchanted oases on the Cosenza coast.
The centers with the most “in” nightlife were Belvedere, Sangineto and Scalea with thousands of young people who stormed the clubs. There were also several dance entertainments organized on the coast where in some cases there were problems of public order and even closure orders were issued. Brawls were recorded in several locations, the most serious one caused a stabbing in Sangineto. But they were mostly isolated cases and did not have worrying consequences.
