The Italian Film Festival returns to Patti with the 'Silver Stars'. Gala evening at the Tindari theatre

The Italian Film Festival, with its “Silver Stars”, returns from 2 to 6 July next in Patti, in the province of Messina, with the majestic Greek Theater of Tindari, where the awards ceremony and gala evening will be held. Six days of screenings, meetings, debates and masterclasses. The protagonists will be actors and directors, critics and sector journalists and there will be no shortage of producers, screenwriters and professionals to discuss the future of the sector. For the occasion, in the historic Palazzi Galvagno and San Francesco, or with the «Arte & Cinema – The great beauty”, a collective exhibition of works by painters from all over the world will be set up. In the running for the Silver Stars are cinematographic works, feature films and shorts, documentaries by independent productions and majors of world cinema, without forgetting the traditions and values ​​of Sicily. Cinema will also be the tool to raise awareness for the protection of the ecosystem. Among the projects presented is “I prefer the noise of the sea”: a collaboration between Italian cinema and the countries that share “the same sea” through documentaries made by Moroccan directors. There will be no shortage of campaigns that address the climate crisis, such as 'Only One', an international campaign launched by Marevivo, the Navy and the Dohrn Foundation on the ecological transition on board the Palinuro and Vespucci training ships, under the high patronage of the European Parliament, the Ministry of 'Environment and Energy Security and the Ministry for Civil Protection and Maritime Policies. The marathon will continue in the Aeolian Islands with the «Malvasia Food & Wine Festival», starting on Sunday 7 July. A ship, until July 10th, will take guests, actors, producers, screenwriters and journalists to the Aeolian Islands to introduce them to the area.
