The Madonna of Trevignano does not cry: the DNA fits the seeing Messina Gisella Cardia

Sovereign elements should not emerge behind the alleged tears and exudations attributed to the Madonna of Trevignano. The analyzes conducted on the statue and on a picture of Christ would have detected the exclusive presence of the DNA of Gisella Cardiathe Messina woman who for years has claimed to receive Marian apparitions in the Lazio municipality.

This is what would result from the genetic expertise performed by Professor Emiliano Giardina, a forensic geneticist in charge of the Court of Civitavecchia as part of the investigation linked to the alleged deceptions to the detriment of some faithful. The exam, ordered by the judge for preliminary investigations Vittoria Sodani, would have excluded the prodigious nature of the events: no miraculous tear, no fluid of inexplicable origin.

The comparative tests, carried out on the two religious objects attributable to Maria Giuseppa Scarpulla – this is the real name of Gisella Cardia – would have returned a complete correspondence with the biological champions of the suspects, identifying the woman as the only source of the tracks found.

The expert report also included a radiological control, via CT, to ascertain the possible presence of hidden mechanisms capable of simulating supernatural events. Also in this case, hidden devices would not have emerged: nothing that could justify abnormal phenomena, if not suggestion or, perhaps, a deliberate construction.

The official presentation of the results was scheduled for June 24, but the hearing was postponed due to the absence of the consultant of the Marina Baldi. The judicial position of Gisella Cardia and her husband remains unchanged: both are investigated for aggravated fraud in competition, in relation to the management of the “Madonna di Trevignano Ets” association and the collection of offers by the faithful.

In the light of the expert results, the hypothesis of a possible indictment is strengthened.
