The Michele Morelli classical high school in Vibo triumphs at the National Certamen of Reggio Calabria

The classic high school Michele Morelli of Vibo Valentia is awarded the eleventh edition of the Greek language of the national Certamen, which ended yesterday (Saturday ed), in the premises of the Tommaso Campanella high school of Reggio Calabria. To win the first place, therefore being the winner, in the section reserved for students outside the institute, was Giacomo Currà, student of the class IV A, who translated and commented on a philological and historical-literary level, a step taken from the Protagora of Plato. The judicial commission, made up of three university teachers, the Profs. Meliadò, Megna and Castrizio, praised, during the award ceremony, to which the young Vibonese was accompanied by his teacher of Greek language and literature, Professor Caterina Scarieri, who followed him closely in the process of preparation for the test , the ability to interpret the text and the impeccable dimension of the comment for reflections, organization of concepts and style. Indeed, Professor Meliadò indicated to the school the opportunity to take part together with the Liceo Morelli, who confirms himself to be a school of undisputed value, to the Classic’s R’Evoll 2025-26 project, associated with the tragedy of the ADA and promoted by the Department of Philology of the ‘University of Messina.
