While waiting for the opening of the birth center in Cetraro, on the Tyrrhenian coast, the hopes for prematurely born babies are placed in 118. Girls and boys who are in a hurry to be born and who do not yet know the history of healthcare on the Tyrrhenian Sea. A story that has been talking about delays for years now. After all, to cover the distance from the Upper Tyrrhenian Sea and in this specific case from Santa Maria del Cedro to Cosenza, it takes an hour and a half. And so the mother – this morning – a few kilometers away from the provincial capital was helped in giving birth by the rescue professionals of the 118 of Scalea and she gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. Then the woman and the newborn were entrusted to the care of the Cosenza hospital.
