Tomorrow, Wednesday 27 May, the book “The other half of the field” by Luigi Buono, included in the “7 thousand books – May 2026” exhibition, will be presented in Marano Principato. The appointment is scheduled for 6.30 pm in the conference room of the “C. Baccelli” youth aggregation center.

A story of resilience and rebirth

The volume tells a story of resilience and rebirth in the world of sport. At the center of the book is the journey of Sara Bellini, a character inspired by Sara Buono. A narrative that takes inspiration from real people and events, transforming them into a literary story.

«It is not a news story, it is a narrative that starts from reality and transforms it», we read in the presentation of the event, which aims to create a moment of dialogue rather than a simple conference.

The guests of the meeting

After the institutional greetings from Mayor Pino Salerno and Councilor for Culture Lia Molinaro, the author Luigi Buono, Sara Buono, the vice-president of Coni Calabria Francesca Stancati, the Uefa A coach of Cus Unical Women Paola Luisa Orlando, the president of the “C’è Bello Cosenza” association Ivan Perrotta and the journalist and teacher Vittorio Scarpelli will speak.

The meeting will be moderated by Manola Federico. The initiative is organized by the Municipality of Marano Principato, in collaboration with the reading club of the “Gioacchino Lena” municipal library.
