Return to the classic centre-left formula, understood as the alliance between moderate and reformist forces. The message arrives a few days after the Feroleto Antico reunion, set up with the aim of moving the quicksand of a coalition still not fully recovered from its atavistic evils. The protagonists are various characters already known in the political news: Enzo Bruno, Enzo Damiano, Salvatore Zoccali, Francesca Straticò, Sandro Principe, Agazio Loiero, Franco Ambrogio, Salvatore Perugini, Nino Gemelli, Franco Petramala.
«Southern Italy and Calabria – we read in a document shared by the protagonists of the initiative – experienced their best moments at the time of centre-left coalitions and the progressive climate; from the moment of its interruption the process of crisis of the democratic system was inaugurated. It was the time of agreements between Catholic democrats, socialists, republicans, liberals, social democrats and lay people together with the evolution of the left-wing Democrats. It should be remembered that in that period the reforms of the Workers’ Statute, the health reform, the law on divorce, the construction of the European Union were carried out, which must be assisted in its renewal, its role being decisive for the prosperity of the European people and security against the temptations of war.”
