The Calabrian poet suddenly died Lorenzo Pataro. He was 27 years old and was originally from Laino Borgo (Cosenza). Pataro, a shy and melancholy character, was making their way into the world of culture with its poems, often keeping and full of humanity. He had already obtained several awards and, with his amulet collection, had been among the finalists of the Strega Poetry prize in 2023 and the Pontedilegno Poetry 2024 prize.
«He had reached Val Camonica in the company of his father, to whom my great and affectionate hug goes – said the poet, writer and former teacher Giuseppe Grattacasowho was in the jury in the last edition of the Pontedilegno Poetry, organized every year in the Brescia locality -. His disappearance throws all those who have known him in deep pain. I remember him with great affection and with love for his verses. I wrote about his beautiful book amulets (poems related to his land and the memory of places and people) and I asked him to collaborate the lemons of the annual poetry.
