Four defeats in the first six matches of the second leg, one more than Cosenza suffered in the entire first half of the season. Ten goals conceded and only three goals scored five times out of six. Never a clean sheet. The numbers of the rossoblù in the second round are dramatic, from last position in the standings. Nobody has done worse than Buscè’s team from January onwards. With only four points scored, the Sila team would be at the bottom of group C together with Atalanta Under 23, Foggia and Siracusa’s next opponents. The team admired during the central part of the first leg lost its way, swallowed up by absences, by pressure, by the confusion that revolves around Via Conforti and by transfers.
Giugliano’s lackluster evidence finds very few mitigating factors, perhaps none. Against the bottom of the table, Cosenza had its worst performance of the season, even rehabilitating those against Crotone and Catania. The Sila had never conceded three goals in the same match before Saturday. They made up for it against what still remains the second least prolific team in the group.
