The “regional” vote draws a centre-right with Northern League influence in Lamezia Terme

The centre-right’s victory in the regional elections is also colored “green” in Lamezia where, as in the rest of the Region, on Sunday and Monday the outgoing president Roberto Occhiuto achieved full approval with 63.8 percent of the votes compared to 35.1 percent of his direct competitor Pasquale Tridico of the “wide field”. Unlike elsewhere, however, in the city it was the League that took the lion’s share of the winning coalition. From the polls for the regional elections, the Carroccio emerged as the first party in Lamezia with 6,000 votes equal to 24.50%. A striking fact behind which, however, there is the personal consensus of Gianpaolo Bevilacqua, on the list with the League in the central constituency for whom, however, 3,372 preference votes were not enough to earn a place in the regional assembly, thanks to “colleagues” on the list such as Mancuso who made a splash in the central constituency by winning the seat at Palazzo Campanella. The outgoing Pietro Raso also won 1,698 votes.
