The Regionals confirmed it: Catanzaro looks to the center-right

Forza Italia is the first party in the city. The elections that confirmed Roberto Occhiuto as leader of the Citadel also consolidated the presence of the Azzurri on the Tre Colli: the list obtained 20.7% of the votes.
Marco Polimeni, FI’s second place in the constituency and elected at Palazzo Campanella, collected 3,338 votes in the city; Elisabetta Aiello, in her first electoral experience, obtained 2,228; Antonello Talerico, outgoing regional councilor, 1,592. At the regional elections, the non-mandatory double gender preference makes it effectively impossible to add the data of candidates from the same list but of different sexes, however, in theory, only the three of them would have obtained 7,158 votes. In short, if it were a question of individual preferences, the three would be worth 14.8% of the voters who in 2022, in the first round, expressed their opinion for the mayoral candidacies.
