Another medal for Italy at the European Athletics Championships in Rome: the blue 4×100, composed of Matteo Meluzzo, Marcell Jacobs, Lorenzo Patta and Filippo Tortu won the gold medal ahead of Holland and Germany. The blue quartet won with 37″82. The President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, was standing.
