The “Le Vie dei Tesori” festival returns to Messina for its second weekend, scheduled for Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 September (with repeats also on 3 and 4 October), offering the unique opportunity to visit usually inaccessible places, historic homes and ghost villages. Among the main attractions of this edition, the extraordinary opening of the Palazzo della Regia Dogana, overlooking the port, stands out, which will welcome visitors exclusively on Saturday morning from 9.30 to 12.30. Also entering the circuit is the House of the Mutilated, a late rationalist building that can be visited throughout the weekend. The rich program also includes historic homes such as Villa Cianciafara and Villa Giovanna, naturalistic and historical itineraries such as the excursion to Borgo Rajù – the settlement destroyed by the 1972 flood – and the guided walk to discover the art nouveau Messina, the latter close to sold out. Finally, there is no shortage of activities dedicated to the little ones, with a contemporary art workshop scheduled for Saturday morning at the Lucio Barbera Gallery.
