Massimo Troisi died on 4 June 1994: thirty years after his tragic death and the unforgettable film “Il Postino”, shot mostly in Salina and nominated for 5 Oscars, one of which won for the soundtrack. The island where the poet Neruda (Philippe Noiret) met the postman Mario Ruoppolo is ready to celebrate it like every year with the Marefestival Salina Premio Troisi, from Friday 14th to Sunday 16th Junethe event organized by journalists from Messina Massimiliano Cavaleri And Patrizia Casale.
The parterre of guests is enriched: Alessio Boni. Francesca Inaudi for the Actors category; Corrado Azzollini who will be rewarded as a producer thanks to the film “Lambs can graze in peace”, recently at the cinema; Uccio De Santis for the Comedians category; Mario Incudine, beloved Sicilian singer-songwriter, for Music. Names that are added to those already announced in recent weeks: Francesco Pannofino, Carla Signoris, Barbara Bouchet, Sergio Friscia and Alberto Urso who, together with the godmother Maria Grazia Cucinotta, will be protagonists of the event to celebrate 30 years of the film “Il Postino”.
The Festival, which takes place in the municipalities of Santa Marina Salina and Malfa, will begin in the Marina di Salina tourist port, which will host the Opening Event on Friday 14 June at 6.30 pm (detailed program on www.marefestivalsalina.it).
