Breakthrough in the investigation into the intimidating act carried out last July 11th against the car of the municipal manager of Vibo Valentia, Claudia Santoro.

After months of intense investigations, the Carabinieri of the Vibo Marina station, in close collaboration with the local police, identified the alleged perpetrators of the gesture.

The investigative activity, coordinated by the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Vibo Valentia, made it possible to precisely reconstruct the phases of the episode thanks to a meticulous analysis of the city’s video surveillance footage and the confirmation of telephone data relating to the cells active in the area at the time of the events. The investigations thus made it possible to identify the car used to reach the manager’s home, where the woman’s vehicle was subsequently set on fire.

At the same time, targeted checks in the area provided further evidence, which strengthened the accusation against the alleged perpetrators of the intimidation.
At the end of the preliminary investigations, two people were reported to the Judicial Authority, as they were held responsible, in various capacities, for the arson and the intimidating act. The order concluding the investigations and the related notice of investigation, issued by the Prosecutor’s Office, were notified against them.
